As a TRON fan, getting to work on the TRON: ARES collaboration with Disney was more than just a career milestone—it was a personal dream come to life. I had the unique opportunity to help bring this iconic universe into the real world through product. From early concept to final execution, the focus was on building a line that honored TRON’s rich visual legacy while pushing the boundaries of what performance and lifestyle product can look and feel like. Being able to honor the spirit of TRON through a visit to the movie studio in Vancouver, Canada and meeting with producers Justin Springer and Steven Lisberger (OG Tron writer and director) as well as production designer Darren Gilford is an experience I’ll never forget.
This collaboration was a balance of storytelling, innovation, and strategic product creation. I worked cross-functionally with design and development to ensure every detail—from materials and trims to color palettes and silhouettes—reflected the cinematic DNA of TRON: ARES while still aligning with fan expectations. Seeing fans and new audiences alike engage with this collection has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m proud to have helped shape a collection that merges digital fantasy with physical expression in such a powerful way. The cherry on top was attending the world premiere of Tron: Ares plus a surprise Nine Inch Nails concert in Hollywood, California.
